Some believe that they must not have truly repented or turned their life over to God because the addiction still
consumes them. This is a common misconception in the Christian Community. What most fail to realize is that addiction
is made up of several components, not just the spiritual. Emotions, childhood trauma, abuse, among other things,
all can contribute to the manifestation and staying power of addiction. There are even some early indications that
there may be a genetic component. That's not to say that the addict is not responsible for their actions, because
they are. It merely supports that addiction is not just a spiritual problem.

to manage your life the healthy way God intended, develop and maintain values grounded in Scripture to rebuild your
